Mr Bear Branches and the Cloud Conundrum

This is an excellent book!

Mr Bear Branches and the Cloud Conundrum

Mr Bear BranchesBy Terri Rose Baynton

I’m not sure the blurb for this book does it justice: “Lintfrey Longfellow would love nothing more than to sit among the clouds…but, sadly, clouds just aren’t made for sitting on. Can Mr Bear Branches find a solution to Lintfrey’s cloud conundrum? A charming picture book about two lovable new characters who are the very best of friends.”

It doesn’t shy away from difficult words or concepts – and it incorporates the conflict between imagination and scientific explanation, interest and knowledge within a tale of friendship. It’s a lovely story! Extremely well written and illustrated.

About backyardbooks

This blog is a kind of electronic storage locker for ideas and quotes that inform my research... literary research into fiction for young adults (with a special focus on New Zealand fiction). Kiwis are producing amazing literature for younger readers, but it isn't getting the academic appreciation it deserves. I hope readers of this blog can make use of the material I gather and share by way of promoting our fiction. Cheers!
